SYLVANA JOYCE

Actress, Songwriter, Composer, Teacher and founder of "The Mantra Method"

A native New Yorker hailing from Queens, Sylvana Joyce spent several years of her childhood as a professional actress on and off Broadway (The Slavs, Tony Kushner; Twelve Dreams, James Lapine) as an understudy.

She is a Boston University alumna, having studied Piano Performance and Music Education. She studied commercial voice acting with Nick Ciavatta (who has voiced national ads such as Allegra and Pandora Radio) and has received training at Actors' Theatre Workshop (Stella Adler), Matthew Corozine Studio (Meisner) for stage, and Tyley Ross for musical theater/pop vocal.

In addition to her pursuits as a voice actress, Sylvana currently writes and performs with her original project, Sylvana Joyce and The Moment, an award-winning alternative rock band based in Jersey City. Their special brand of Balkan folk and theatrically infused rock has garnered major press from the likes of Huffington Post, NJ.com and MTV, playing reputable venues such as Brooklyn Bowl and White Eagle Hall.
